New Media Ventures is the first national network of early stage angel investors who are putting their time and money into cutting edge start-ups focused on creating progressive political change. We help our members learn more about about the progressive new media space and start-up investment opportunities within it.

What we offer our members

We offer three key benefits to our members:

• Deal flow: We scour the country looking for hard-to-find, innovative, progressive start-ups. Our members can learn about every organization we turn up.
• Filtering: We go through dozens and dozens of organizations to find the ones with the most promising missions. As a member, you’ll have access to our presentation meetings and calls where you can learn more about a smaller number of start-ups. (Note: we do not evaluate organizations on their potential financial success. That’s up to you the investor)
• Community: We’re uniquely able to introduce you to the other progressive investors you’ll need to close a round or dream up the next big thing.

Who joins New Media Ventures?

New Media Ventures members are investors and donors who want to get closely involved with young organizations – as lead investors, advisors, or board members – to ensure that these companies and nonprofits have the human capital as well as the financial capital they need to have a lasting impact.

Our members share a belief that investing in these startups is critical for the future of the progressive movement – and they have the skills and experience needed to help these startups succeed.
